During the lifetime of a website moments come when need arises to move the site from one domain name to other. This migration process is painful for bigger and more active websites. If hosting control panel on both servers are same then migration becomes easier. However, sometimes you need to migrate your site to a server having different control panel. cPanel announced EOL (End of Life) for version 10.8.x and below. As per a communication released on 8th November, 2007, cPanel will no longer issue licenses for version 10.8.x or below after December 1, 2007. Few months back cPanel had release version 11 of it’s popular Hosting control panel and has now urged all it’s users to upgrade to latest version.
To upgrade to a newer version of cPanel and WHM, administrators can run /scripts/upcp from the command line or use the ‘Upgrade to Latest Version’ option in the ‘cPanel’ menu inside of WebHost Manager.
