Pricing dips for all New .INFO Domain Names

Recently many registrars announced a dip in pricing for .INFO . As per the .INFO promotion, pricing for any new .INFO domain name for an End User has come down to Rs. 121/= (plus / minus Rs. 15 depending on the Registrar). Earlier .INFO were being sold in between Rs. 400/= to Rs. 500/= per domain year.

As per a notice on www.dotrgeistrar.com, DotRegistrar will become part of , in the coming weeks. With this upgradation some of the features of Dot Registrar have gone while some new features (free services) like URL Forwarding, Email Forwarding and DNS management has been added. However, this comes at a cost to existing clients of Dot Registrar.

What the Problem is?

Mostly in India and moreover all over the world, it’s a rampant practice followed by so called web designers to register their client’s with their own (web designers and not clients’) details. This is a complete lose-lose situation for clients. So called web designers’ first motive is to ensure that they take control of their clients’  so that the client has no choice but to stay with the same designer, or lose his domain name in the process.
