updated: Starting 24th March, Anubhooti Internet is offering all new .IN registrations at Rs. 250/= (US$ 5) per year including .co.in, .net.in, .org.in etc.
After a promotional price cut in 2007 for all .IN registrations, today once again many registrars announced a dip in pricing for all second and third level .IN domain names. As the .IN promotion goes on, pricing for any new .IN domain name has come down to Rs. 500/= (plus / minus Rs. 50 depending on the Registrar). Earlier second level .IN domain names were being sold at Rs. 800/=. Pricing for new third level .IN domain names have come down to Rs. 375/= in comparison to earlier selling rate of Rs. 450/=. Starting 2100 Hrs IST, Today, .TEL will be available for registration to all on first come first served basis. Sunrise period for .TEL started on 03.December.2008 and landrush period started from 03.February.09. Now, anyone can register this tld through ICANN accredited registrars. General Availability registrations will carry a one-year minimum term and are subjected to the standard registration conditions depicted by the regisrar company. Google, after acquiring Doubleclick, has started offering new ways for publishers to maximize their ad revenue. In continuing efforts to provide publishers of all sizes with tools to improve revenue opportunities and productivity, today announced a new tool with the beta launch of Google Ad Manager. Recently Google made changes in verification process for Adsense publishers. To make sure that the AdSense account details, publishers provide to Google are valid and correct, it uses two methods of verification. First one is using PIN (Personal Identification Number) and second is Phone Number verification. Google uses one or both of these verification methods in order to ensure the security and accuracy of adsense publisher’s information so that payments from AdSense account can be released in favour of the publisher. Recently many registrars announced a dip in pricing for .INFO domain names. As per the .INFO promotion, pricing for any new .INFO domain name for an End User has come down to Rs. 121/= (plus / minus Rs. 15 depending on the Registrar). Earlier .INFO domain names were being sold in between Rs. 400/= to Rs. 500/= per domain year. (more…)

Indian Users of Paypal can withdraw funds directly to their Indian Bank Accounts. As per a notice on www.dotregistrar.com, DotRegistrar will become part of MyDomain, in the coming weeks.
